Accessibility

1. Our Commitment

Roseva Group LLC, doing business as Roseva Skin, wants every woman who visits roseva-skin.com to be able to read about our product, ask us questions, and place an order — including women who browse with a screen reader, navigate by keyboard only, use voice control or a switch device, rely on screen magnification, need high contrast or larger text, or turn off animation because motion makes them unwell.

We treat accessibility as part of running the store, not as a legal box to tick. We are a small company, our site is a work in progress, and we would rather tell you honestly where we stand than make a claim we cannot back up.

2. The Standard We Are Working Toward

We are working toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA as our reference standard for roseva-skin.com.

Please read that sentence exactly as it is written. We do not claim that our site currently conforms to WCAG 2.1 Level AA, and we do not claim that it is fully accessible or fully compliant with any law or standard. No independent third-party audit of roseva-skin.com has been completed to date. WCAG 2.1 Level AA is the target we measure ourselves against and work toward over time. Parts of our site meet it today, parts of it do not yet, and we are working through the gaps.

If you ever see a page of ours claiming to be "fully ADA compliant" or "100% accessible," that page is wrong and we would like to know about it so we can correct it.

3. What We Do Not Do

We do not use an accessibility overlay, accessibility widget, or automated "one line of code" accessibility plugin on this site.

We made that choice on purpose. Tools of that kind sit on top of a website and try to patch it from the outside. In practice they frequently interfere with the screen readers, magnifiers, and browser settings our customers already have configured, and they do not fix the underlying code. We would rather fix the actual page.

4. What We Have Done So Far

The following work has been done, or is being done, on roseva-skin.com. This is a description of our efforts, not a guarantee that every page and every element meets every criterion.

Structure and reading order

  • Pages use real HTML headings in a logical order, so a screen reader user can move through a page by heading instead of reading every word.
  • Landmarks (header, navigation, main content, footer) are used so assistive technology can jump to the main content.
  • A "Skip to content" link is provided at the top of pages so keyboard users do not have to tab through the full navigation on every page.
  • The page language is declared as English so screen readers use the correct pronunciation.

Keyboard access

  • We work to make every interactive element — links, buttons, quantity selectors, product options, the cart, the checkout, and the mobile menu — reachable and operable with the keyboard alone.
  • We work to make the keyboard focus indicator clearly visible, so you can always see where you are on the page.
  • We work to make dialogs and pop-ups closable with the Escape key, and to return focus sensibly when they close.

Images and media

  • Product photography, ingredient graphics, and content images are given descriptive alternative text.
  • Where an image contains sales text or an offer, we repeat that text as real text on the page rather than leaving it locked inside a picture.
  • Decorative images are marked as decorative so screen readers skip them instead of reading filenames aloud.
  • Where we publish video, we work to provide captions and to make sure nothing plays with sound automatically. Where a video carries information that matters to your purchase, we also provide that information as text on the same page.

Color, contrast and motion

  • We check text, buttons, price displays, discount badges, and form labels for sufficient contrast, and we do not rely on color alone to communicate meaning such as errors, savings, or availability.
  • Text can be resized and the page can be zoomed without content being cut off or trapped.
  • We avoid content that flashes, and we respect the "reduced motion" setting in your operating system where our theme allows it.

Forms, cart and checkout

  • Form fields have visible labels that are properly associated with the field, rather than placeholder text alone.
  • Error messages state in words what went wrong and how to fix it, and are announced to assistive technology rather than shown only as a red outline.
  • The checkout is provided by Shopify, which maintains its own accessibility program for that part of the purchase flow.

Ongoing checks

  • We review new pages, new landing pages, and new promotional content for the items above before they go live.
  • We run automated checks and do manual keyboard and screen reader testing on our main pages: the home page, the product page, the cart, and the policy pages, including this one.
  • We re-check after theme updates and after we add or change an app, because both can undo previous fixes.

5. Technology and Compatibility

What this site is built with

roseva-skin.com relies on HTML, CSS, JavaScript, WAI-ARIA, and web fonts. Accessibility depends on these technologies being supported by your browser and by your assistive technology. JavaScript is required for parts of the store, including the cart and the checkout. If you have JavaScript turned off, or if your browser blocks part of the page, some functions will not work. Contact us and we will complete the order for you instead. See Section 9.

What we test with

We currently check the site using:

  • VoiceOver with Safari on macOS and on iPhone
  • Keyboard only, with no mouse, in Chrome and Safari
  • Browser zoom up to 200% and increased operating system text size
  • Automated checking tools for contrast, labels, and alternative text

We are a small company and this is an honest list, not an exhaustive one. We cannot test every browser, device, and assistive technology combination that exists, and we have not yet tested with every screen reader in common use. If yours is not on this list, that does not mean we will not help you — it means we have not tested it yet, and we would like to hear how it went.

6. Known Limitations

We would rather list these than pretend they do not exist. As of the date at the top of this page, we are aware that:

  • Some older marketing pages, advertorial pages, and email-linked landing pages were built before our current review process and may not yet meet the standard we are working toward. We are updating them page by page.
  • Some images published earlier may have missing or incomplete alternative text.
  • Certain third-party components embedded in our pages are only partly under our control. See Section 7.
  • Time-limited offers, countdown displays, and promotional banners may not always announce themselves clearly to assistive technology. If a timer or banner prevents you from completing an order, contact us and we will honor the offer for you directly.
  • PDF documents, if we publish any, may not be fully tagged for accessibility. We will provide the same information in an accessible format on request.

If you find a barrier that is not on this list, please tell us. We will add it, and we will work on it.

7. Third-Party Content and Tools

Parts of roseva-skin.com are provided by other companies. We choose our vendors with accessibility in mind and we raise problems with them when we find them, but we do not control their source code and cannot guarantee their output.

This currently includes:

  • Shopify, which provides our store platform, our theme framework, and our checkout.
  • Klaviyo, which provides our email sign-up forms and on-site pop-ups.
  • Our product reviews app, which displays customer reviews and testimonials on the product page.
  • Payment providers — Shopify Payments, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Klarna — which render their own payment fields, buttons, and windows.
  • Embedded video and analytics components, including Meta and Triple Whale tracking components.

If one of these components is blocking you, please contact us. We can usually complete the task for you directly — including placing your order for you by email — while we work with the vendor on a fix. See Sections 8 and 9.

8. Tell Us About a Barrier

If any part of roseva-skin.com is difficult or impossible for you to use, we want to hear about it. You do not need to use technical language, and you do not need to know what caused the problem.

Email: julia@roseva-skin.com — please put "Accessibility" in the subject line
Mail: Roseva Group LLC, Accessibility, 30 N Gould St Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States

Our response time: we acknowledge every accessibility message within 3 business days. Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding United States federal holidays. Email is the fastest way to reach us and the way we answer every message.

When you write to us, it helps if you can tell us:

  • the web address of the page, or a description of where you were,
  • what you were trying to do,
  • what happened instead, and
  • the device, browser, and assistive technology you were using, if you know them.

None of this is required. A one-line message such as "I can't get past the pop-up on the product page with my screen reader" is enough for us to start.

We will tell you what we found, what we can fix, and roughly when. If something cannot be fixed quickly, we will say so and offer you a workaround in the meantime rather than leave you waiting.

9. If You Cannot Use the Site, We Will Help You Directly

You should never have to fight with a website to buy a bottle of serum. If any part of the site is not working for you, we will handle it for you personally, at no extra cost and at the same prices, offers, and guarantee terms shown on the site.

Write to julia@roseva-skin.com and tell us what you need. We can send you a plain-text summary of any page, answer questions about the product and its ingredients, tell you the current prices and offer details in a readable format, send you a direct payment link, or place the order for you and confirm everything back to you before anything is charged.

If you would rather speak to someone than write, say so in your email and include your phone number and the times that suit you, and we will arrange a call.

We can also help you with:

  • checking on an order or a tracking number,
  • changing a delivery address,
  • starting a return or a refund, and
  • receiving any of our policies as plain text in the body of an email instead of a web page.

We will never ask for card numbers, passwords, or security codes by email. For an order placed by phone, we take payment through a secure link or through our normal payment providers.

10. Accessibility of Our Emails and Ads

The same commitment applies outside the website. We work to keep our marketing and service emails readable in plain text as well as HTML, to give images in our emails meaningful alternative text, and to keep sufficient contrast in the messages we send. If one of our emails is unreadable for you, reply to it or write to julia@roseva-skin.com and we will send the content in a format that works for you.

11. Feedback Is Welcome

We are a small team and honest feedback from the people who actually use assistive technology is worth more to us than any automated report. If something is awkward rather than broken, tell us that too — awkward is still a barrier, and it is usually the easier thing to fix.

Send anything you notice to julia@roseva-skin.com. If you would like us to follow up with you about what we changed, say so and we will.

12. Formal Concerns

If you have raised an accessibility problem with us and you are not satisfied with our response, please write to julia@roseva-skin.com with "Accessibility Escalation" in the subject line, or send a letter to Roseva Group LLC, Attn: Accessibility, 30 N Gould St Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States. Your message will be reviewed by the person responsible for the site, and we will reply in writing.

We would always rather fix the problem than argue about it.

13. Updates to This Statement

We review this statement at least once a year and whenever we make a significant change to our website, our theme, or the third-party tools we use. The date at the top and bottom of this page shows when it was last updated. Because our site changes over time, this statement describes our efforts as of that date and not a permanent state.
